I just signed on to the SR marketplace and in the buyers feedback box that appears on the front screen I see:
"crimson (95) 1 of 5 never arrived, full refund"
Are you kidding? I had never heard of the seller "crimson" before that moment but what did they possibly do in the course of giving a full fucking refund that deserved a 1 of 5??? I'd love for that buyer to come to this thread and explain their rationale. Who am I kidding? A buyer like that doesn't ever come to the forums I'd bet.
Just six lines above it I see:
3Jane(98) 5 of 5 Product never arrived but seller was very helpful and quickly provided a refund. Would do business with again
Up to this moment I didn't think there was a need (at this point anyway) for a rating of buyers. BUT this just irked the shit out of me. It's like people don't understand this business or don't give a damn how they may be affecting someone else's ability to conduct business.
Hey SR, I give, you need to give the sellers some way to identify buyers who will either abuse the system or simply don't understand how things work. Maybe a single thread on the forum that has a title like "Buyers who abused me: hear sellers rant". At least the possibility of being outed would give a buyer pause. If they expected to do business at SR again, anyway. Ok, I'm done ranting. :)
-
Totally agree. I'm a buyer and I would call that a 5/5 experience.
Stand up sellers deserve credit and support.
-
I couldn't agree more... As a buyer I would welcome feedback.
Any system to better clarify who the good people are around here would be great.
The only issue is the potential for retaliatory feedback...
-
;D ;D
Nah the best one is "added a bit extra" got a 4/5 LOL that still makes me laugh.. ::)
Reading feedback is awesome entertainment
I really dont see the need for seller feedback when we have a forum to bitch about some buyers :P
Why only write a few words about a buyer in some feedback when you can start a whole thread :D
Well maybe if you get under 2/5 you get the chance to explain yourself
While we are on the subject, all of my buyers have been 6/5 :)
-
Its buying drugs ffs. If my street dealer gives me something cut to shit, I can't go call consumer affairs now can I?

I *remember* that one. A few weeks back. I thought the same thing.
If these two buyers were a couple: snodgrass (98) rec'd a gram extra on an 1/8. Arrived same day coast to coast. Seller flew in personally with fairy wings. 4/5. Fairy wings slightly tattered. Only rec'd 50% refund.
-
A lot of buyers have no clue how hard it actually is to be a vendor and leave bad feedback unfairly. I once saw someone leave 4/5 for a handwritten shipping address, which isn't a big deal at all.
-
I got a 2/5 because a buyer didnt like my return address.
Which is a real company, at a real location :o
-
I have been primarily a buyer here so far and I am all for buyer feedback. Ebay has feedback for both buyer and seller and that seems to have worked a little bit. I will be selling here sometime soon and would appreciate knowing up front who the scammers are. There is the possibility of losing a lot of money on bad deals and dishonest buyer 'resolutions.' I imagine that sellers live and die by their reputation (feedback score) why should buyers not be held accountable as well? We don't necessarily have to keep an active log of what was purchased and from whom for privacy/security reasons but a simple number would be a good indicator I think.
-
+1 for buyer feedback
At them moment i have to assume everyone is a scammer trying to get free drugs. Thats sux, if a solid buyer has a complaint or issue i want to be able to respond appropriately.
I would even give a discount to solid buyers.
If it arrives & is what they purchased it should be 5/5 then make your comments reflect your opinion of the product.

GreenCo's 4/5 said "Perfect"
Bummed them out cause they will do ANYTHING for that 5
-
One idea is to rate buyers based on the number of finalized transactions, when the delivery and payment was successful. This way, sellers would have a better idea if the buyer has a history of scamming people.
-
As someone who exclusively buys, I'd also be for some kind of buyer feedback. The last thing I want is for a few bad buyers to chase sellers away or drive up prices.

Maybe a rating only would be good. Sellers can rate a buyer and leave it at that
-
yes we need buyer feedback. i'm not going to ship to a buyer who has scammed multiple sellers by saying that the product never shipped when it actually did. sellers have the rights to this information.
-
With the system as it is it's still easy to see the comments of the buyers who give bad feedback. I have no problem buying from someone with a rating a little
below 100 because in almost all cases it's the buyer behaving a little precious and not something the seller's done wrong.

It wasn't me but I do remember what it use to say.
I'll admit it seemed a bit over the top considering what was being shipped.
Definitely not worthy of a 2/5 though. That is just plain stupid...
-
Jesus Christ ppl, we just all need an individual rating/rank for every single transaction.
It's probably a huge pain in the ass or might be simple to apply idk how to write the code and set it up but, if this is gonna be as successful as it could be a personally ranking on everyone is an improvement that is needed...IMHO!
+1 for the features request!!!!!!
-
Hah, got a 4/5 because USPS was slow.
What's with people from cali ordering? Don't they have med everything there? All they do is complain. Have one out now, will test my theory.

Someone sales me sh*t, I ain't giving you a 5/5 ranking, that's for sure.
But people being people, some are real Aholes.
Absolutely their should be a ranking system of buyers to protect sellers.
I know that a seller can't get a 100% because of the BS.
You guys need to vent. It's the dummy rankings the sellers make that have me concerned.
-
I think feedback could use some further modification to prevent misunderstandings.
1-5 for seller communication
1-5 for packaging
1-5 for delivery
1-5 for product weight/amount
1-5 for product quality compared to how it was advertised
etc...
this way, anyone reading feedback can better understand it.
I just had a buyer give me a 3/5 because the product didn't "seem legit"
The next day he sent me a PM apologizing and asking if he could change the feedback to 5/5 because after trying it he realized he was dearly mistaken.
Is there any kind of recourse for this kind of thing? I knew I couldn't keep my perfect streak going forever, but it sucks to end it like that..

@Rook
edit old feedback

As a buyer, I'll give 4/5 for a non-delivery, if refunds are good. Why not 5? Well:
1) it wasted my time
2) it tied up my funds
3) if unhedged, it may have cost me depreciation of BC

What you have lost more then vendor? ???
That is wrong, plain wrong.
Vendor lost;
1) waste time (uselles phrase as this aint ice cream store)
2) product and profit
3) bad feedback
4) lower rating and concerned future buyers
So is that anyhow just for you?
Buyer has last word on everything, relase of money and feedback, and can be given only for something what he can control. Something what is not his fault should be avoided.
-
Mseller is right. if a vendor does all he can (usps delivery is totally out of the vendors hands) and you get a refund, the vendor did all that he could for the buyer. The vendor is out shipping, product and hell of a lot more time (packing it etc) than a buyer would.
The other stuff that you mentioned is part of the game and risk. Hell, i lose a lot with the btc fluctuation on every transaction. If a vendor does all that he/she can then I would give them a 5 (if i were a buyer) and every buyer that is also a vendor would surely agree..

I love it! From now on whenever a buyer acts in a totally inexplicable manner we at SR could just say "hey, he's TING TONG, man". :D
Don't worry AA, another 50 sales and you'll be back to 99. With the feedback score entirely in the hands of buyers it's not really reasonable to expect that over a large number of transactions and a long period of time that anyone will maintain a perfect 100. Only folks who are quite particular about shipping to limited numbers of known buyers will have that opportunity.
As a buyer I'd consider any seller with a score above 90 and 100+ transactions to have a "perfect score". As they say "you can't please everybody". :)
